Advent is nearly here and we invite everyone to join us for our Advent and Christmas Eve services.
Come a bit early each Sunday to enjoy “Caroling With Ken And Choir” before church service starts.
Advent One: December 2, 10 AM
Meditation: “The Tree of Life”
Enjoy our Angel Tree Dedication and contribute to our monthly Food Bank collection.
Angels are made with the help of the Sunday School children, who will use them to decorate our Angel Tree during Children’s Time. Get your own Angel in memory or recognition of someone you know, available in the Narthex before church service, with your donation in support of the Mission & Service Fund of the United Church of Canada. Tax receipts for donations will be issued after the holidays.
Food Bank donations of Groceries for Christmas will be delivered to The Inn of the Good Shepherd in Sarnia in support of their efforts to help people in need.
Advent Two: December 9, 10 AM
Meditation: “Just Christmas”
Enjoy White Gift Sunday and the Sunday School’s Annual Cookie Walk.
The children/youth will collect your White Gifts, whether a child’s gift wrapped in white, or an envelope with money or a gift card. The collection will be given to Huron Shores Optimists to assist in their annual Christmas Community Hampers Campaign, supporting needy families.
Donations of cookies and squares for the Cookie Walk are welcomed – please take to the kitchen before service starts. Purchase 3 dozen of your hand-picked favourites for only $10. Please bring a container to carry your cookies home, if they last that long! Proceeds from the Cookie Walk will help support a local family in need this Christmas.
And everyone is invited to stay for a light lunch which will be served after the cookie walk.
